Larry Douglas Mathis

December 20, 1957 — March 10, 2024

Larry Douglas Mathis 66, Transitioned to his heavenly home on March 10, 2024, after losing his battle with cancer in Adairsville, Ga. He served in the military from 1975-1983 as a Marine for 6 years, then enlisted in the Army.


Larry was self-employed for over twenty-five years, in the pressure washing and landscaping business, to renovation of homes and repairs, installing and repairing restaurant hoods as well as renovation of the restaurants. He was a Jack of all Trades and a Master of many, who was truly gifted and enjoyed his work. He was kind to everyone he encountered, always was willing to lend a helping to anyone who needed it.


Larry was born on December 20,1957 in Millport, Al. to his late parents Robert Clifton Mathis, and Bertha Mae Mathis, his brothers William Curtis Wright, and David Clifton Mathis (Kathy) which he proceeds.


He is survived by his wife Unique Dusset-Mathis, his sons Christopher Allen Mathis, and Robert Glenn Mathis, his two brothers Keith Michael Mathis, and James Robert Mathis (Alicia), and his Aunt Ellen Mathis. His brother and close friend Scotty Parker and a host of nieces and nephews.


A homegoing will be held at a later to be determined.
