Larry Neil Dodson

Larry Neil Dodson of Goldwater, Alabama passed away on Friday, May 03, 2024. He was born on August 08, 1947, to the late Nolan Floyd and Wilburth Baker Dodson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara (Bunny) Doss, Linda Ramsey, brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Darlyne Dodson.

Larry is survived by his daughter Shonda Schutz (Josh) and three grandchildren Hannah Trippe, Andrew (Andy) Dodson and Abby Schutz, along with two amazing brother-in-laws George Doss and Billy Ramsey and several nieces and nephews.

Larry retired from the Honda Plant in Lincoln, Alabama. He was also a truck driver and pilot car operator for many years. He loved his family and friends, animals, and fishing. He had a great sense of humor. He was a dedicated father, grandfather and friend. He never met a stranger. Larry was a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. He was loved by many and will truly missed.
