Larry Robert Peterson

Larry Robert Peterson of Canton, GA passed away on August 5, 2024 after a long struggle with Parkinsons Disease.

He was born January 16, 1949 in Newcastle, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Peterson and mother Ruth Peterson.

Larry attended Youngstown State University and enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1970. After leaving the Marine Corp he worked in the insurance industry where he obtained his CPCU designation and taught Liability Insurance for the CPCU Society.

He loved riding horses and then moved on to riding Harley Davidsons. He wanted to create memories he could reminisce about in his later years.

Larry is survived by his wife, Cyra Peterson, daughter Christina (Aneesh) Mehta and their two children and daughter Sarah Bahn. He is also survived by his brother Jerry Peterson of Houston, TX and sister Joanne Sizer of Florida.

A brief ceremony will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery on Friday, August 16 at 10AM.
