Larry Thomas Roberts

Larry T Roberts, 87, passed away Wed, March 27, 2019, at The Madeline of Decatur, GA, where he resided for the past 9 months. He was born Sep 22, 1931, in Altha, FL. He was retired from US Air Force as well as Mosler Safe Co. where he worked alongside his good buddy, Harold Bibee. After retirement, for several years, he served with the American Red Cross as a van driver on the disaster team. In his spare time, he enjoyed building and flying model airplanes. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Carolyn; his son and daughter in law, Michael and Val Roberts of Riverview, FL; his daughter, Melanie Puckett, of Roswell, GA and his son Mitchell Roberts, of Cleveland TN. His grandchildren include Justin Puckett, Erin (Brian) Sullivan, Katie Puckett, Jessica (Dustin) Johnson, and Samantha Talbot. He has three great-grandsons, Brayden, Bennett & Cameron; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are his sister, Voniece Tupper of Viola TN and brother, Kenneth Roberts and his wife, Ele of Gibsonton, FL. Visitation will be held at Grissom-Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4 from 5-7 pm.
