Linda Carson Johnson

Linda Carson Johnson, 76, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 10 at the East Cobb Center for Nursing and Healing in Marietta, Georgia.


Linda Noe was born February 4, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Nat and Madeline Carson. Linda grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Central High School in 1965. She then pursued a degree in Elementary Education at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.


After graduating from college, Linda was a teacher for 12 years in Little Rock, Dallas and Jackson, Mississippi. Following her teaching years, Linda served as a Human Resources professional in many roles in Little Rock, Houston and Los Angeles until retirement in 2010.   More recently, she lived in Atlanta.


Linda was a lifelong “cradle roll” member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.   Her love for Jesus was real - always - in good times and bad.   Linda will be remembered for her beautiful smile which reflected her sincere and kind interest in others.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Nat and Madeline Carson. Linda is survived by her sons, John Barry Reaves, Jr. (wife Mary Grace Phillips) and Joseph Carson Reaves; and, her sister Cynthia Carson, all of Atlanta.


A celebration of life gathering will be planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Immanuel Baptist Church Missions, UAMS Cancer Institute, or The Razorback Foundation.
