Linda L. Davies, 82, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away in her home on December 5, 2024. Born December 17, 1941 in Carthage, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy (LaLone) Bloss. She was predeceased by her husband, James Davies, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
She is survived by her sons Steven Davies of Woodstock, GA and Lance Davies of Marietta, GA and daughters Cheryl (Richard) Wilmott of Catasauqua, PA, Kristin Davies of Bethlehem, PA, and Tracy (Steven Haney) Longano of Acworth, GA. She was Nana to 11 grandchildren: Jillian Wilmott, Ryan Wilmott, Tara (Mark) Wilmott Schlosser, Jenna (Warren Hylton) Thomas, Jessica (Brian) Grube, Rio (Anthony) Davies-Halley, Jimi (Maia) Davies, Cyrena (Zack) Hines, Amanda (Charlie) Newman, Brandon (Amber) Longano, Kaitlin Longano; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her great-grandson, Jaxon Daniels.
Also surviving are her brother, Norman Bloss of Cathedral City, CA, her sister, Sharon Eckert of Woodstock, GA, and niece, Lori (Mark) Snyder of Canton, GA. She was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Bloss.
Linda was also loved by many cousins, bonus children and grandchildren, and many friends.
She was a lifelong member of Bascomb United Methodist Church in Woodstock, Georgia, where she served in many different roles. She was a very active member in the UWF, where she served as long-time President and Retreat Leader. She was instrumental in the development of Cherokee MUST and served as co-director from 1985-1996. She then moved on to work at Acceptance Insurance, retiring from there in 2004.
Linda was a very loving and generous person who lived a life of service to others. Most important to her was her faith in God and service to him.
A memorial service will be held at Bascomb United Methodist Church, 2295 Bascomb Carmel Rd. Woodstock, GA 30189 on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, with the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
