Linda Jane Thomas

Linda “Jane” Thomas, 66, of Adairsville, passed away peacefully in her home on February 3, 2024 following a lengthy illness. She grew up in Rydal and graduated from Cass High School. Jane spent her last days surrounded by family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Howard Smith, Jr and Winnie Garland Smith and her brother, James Harry Smith. She is survived by her long time partner, James Michael Hines; daughters, sons-in-law and step-children, Jayta Long (Jeremy Early), Mirannda Garrett (Kelly), Jessica Wright (Joey), Josh Hines and Jordan Hines; Grandchildren, Dylan Long (Kassidy), Collin Garrett, Calysta Long and Haley Odom; Great granddaughters, Charlie Long and Lori Long.

Before retiring, Jane worked several years for R&D Maintenance, maintaining the campgrounds surrounding Lake Allatoona.. She loved being outside and was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. Jane also enjoyed learning about and following her native Cherokee beliefs and traditions and spending time with her family and friends.

Leaf Cremation is in charge of arrangements and a private ceremony will be held.
