Lisa Dick Russell

March 7, 1963 — February 2, 2021

Lisa Dick Russell, 57, of Kennesaw, GA peacefully transitioned from this world on the morning of February 2, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1963 in Cobb County, GA to Sara Hardy Dick and Phillip Dick of Kennesaw, GA. A graduate of North Cobb High School, Lisa attended Kennesaw State University, but she ultimately found her calling in helping people love their homes. As a design consultant, Lisa's creativity, her understanding of people and their needs, and her work ethic made her a well liked and highly praised colleague. Many of her coworkers, employers and clients became her personal friends and cheerleaders over the years. Lisa enjoyed music and good food, dancing and laughing whenever she could and doing all of it with her loved ones. She loved to be by the water, be it an afternoon by the pool, the weekend on the lake or a trip to the beach. She spent many hours on the swinging bench on her porch watching thunderstorms. At night, you could catch her outside star-gazing. Lisa's love for the natural world was remarkable. Her Green Thumb and her passion for gardening made local garden nurseries one of Lisa's favorite places. You were never lost with her, just “on an adventure.” Ever a thrill seeker, she gleefully went skydiving on her fortieth birthday. Anyone who met her wanted to call Lisa a friend. Her vibrant energy and trusting nature was felt deeply by others when she entered a room. Lisa's enduring strength and resilience was admired by all. She was an incredible mother and best friend to her three daughters. She was as proud of them as they are of her. Lisa accepted our Lord as her savior at an early age as a member of the First Methodist Church of Kennesaw. She is survived by her daughters, Haley Russell Diaz, Morgan Russell and Emma Russell, mother, Sara Dick, father, Phillip Dick and brother, Scott Dick. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date when it is safer for all that love her to attend. Her immediate family will publicly share this information when a decision has been made.
