Margaret "Peggy" Brown

Margaret “Peggy” C. Brown, of Acworth, GA and Winter Haven, FL was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. On May 10, 2022 she passed at the age of 85. Her goal was to live life to the fullest and we believe she accomplished it completely. She was born in Boston, MA to James and Elizabeth Corcoran on February 17, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, William Carlton House, II. Her husband of 54 years, Wesley L. Brown was beside her throughout her life and had many wonderful experiences. They created a legacy for our family. She has one sister in Boston, MA, Patricia O’Reilly. She is also survived by her husband, Wesley L. Brown; children, James (Sheryl) House, Marilyn House and Carolyn (Keith) Mewbourne; grandchildren, Erin (Bert) Quenzer, Jacob (Miranda) Mewbourne, Eric Mewbourne and Tyler (Kayla) Mewbourne; great grandchildren, Alexis Dixon, Parker Quenzer, Ashtyn Mewbourne, Espen Mewbourne and Allie Mewbourne; several cousins, nephews and countless friends. Peggy worked many jobs to help provide for her family, near 25 years at Lockheed Aircraft Co. She shared her love for adventure, square dancing, cooking and playing cards or board games with her family and friends in Winter Haven, FL. She enjoyed camping or boating and once retired they travelled via RV for many years across the states. Our family joke was she was part gypsy, if she had wheels she would travel. Her big heart was full of kindness and genuine love, and will be missed tremendously. At her request, there will not be a formal service. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may make a contribution to the American Lung or American Heart Association or to an organization of your preference.
