Martin James Miranda

January 29, 1967 — May 18, 2020

With a big smile, and surely a hearty embrace, Martin James Miranda ran into the arms of his Savior on May 18, 2020. Martin, know as “Marty” to many, was born in Jackson County Missouri on January 29, 1967 to Martin and Oralou (DeLancey) Miranda. With his family, he lived and befriended many in Indiana, New Mexico, Ohio, Missouri and for the last several years, Cobb County Georgia. He was known for his welcoming smile, booming laughter, love and tales of travel, friends, and family. A song was always on his lips and pictures of his wife and children at the ready to show any and everyone. He could talk for hours about guitars, trucks, eyeglasses or music. Nothing brought him more joy than helping someone in need by participating in mission trips, helping someone move or fixing another’s car. He loved the One Who Died for him, Jesus Christ, and worshipped locally with his wife at Lost Mountain Baptist Church. Martin is survived by his wife, Barbara Wrenn Miranda, daughter, Brianna (Caleb) Vanschuyver, and son, Aaron Miranda. He leaves his parents, Martin and Oralou Miranda, sisters, Chris (Max) Hill and Laura (Brian) Alton, several nieces, nephews and one beautiful grand-daughter. His marriage to Barbara also rewarded him with two bonus children, Daniel (Rachel) Wrenn and Brittney Wrenn and bonus grandchildren. He will be remembered and missed dearly by aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous extended family members and friends. Due to the current COVID pandemic, there will be a socially-distanced graveside service on Saturday, May 23rd at 11:00AM at Rolling Hills Memorial Gardens in Acworth, Georgia. Thankfully, prayers and love know no restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Builders for Christ 5044 Allatoona Drive Acworth, GA 30101 http://www.buildersforchrist.org/
