Mary Jane Trost

Mary Jane Sands Trost, "Janie", 83, a long-time resident of Woodstock, Georgia, passed from this life on October 26, 2018. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Alley Finot (Dr. James Craig Finot) and Eric Matthew Alley (Tiffany Suzanne Farmer Alley); granddaughters, Jennifer Jane Haralson Fineran (Stephen Fineran) and Ciara Breece Alley; great grandchildren, Savannah Jewel Foster, Rocco Christian Foster and Allie Jane Foster; sister, Martie Sands Schaefer; nieces, cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Trost, her parents and two brothers. Mrs. Trost graduated from Oglethorpe University and practiced as a Registered Nurse in the Kennestone Hospital orthopedic unit and as a nursing instructor at the then Marietta Cobb Vocational Technical School. Her husband's career took him to many foreign destinations and provided Mrs. Trost the opportunity for extensive travel and adventure, but her happiest times were on their farm, in the company of her beloved grandchildren and pets.
