Matthew Anthony Lawing

Matthew Anthony Lawing, age 46 of Douglasville, Georgia, Departed from this life and went to be with the Lord on August 3, 2021. He was born in Austell, Ga on August 14, 1974. Matt Loved Georgia Bulldogs, Riding Horses, Classic cars, especially Mustangs and loved animals. He loved spending time with family and friends. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Steven Lawing of Douglasville, GA. Matt is survived by his mother, Brenda Lawing of Douglasville, GA; brother, Chad Lawing and wife Raegan of Bremen, GA; sister, Cristal Rickles of Villa Rica, GA; daughter, Savanna Lawing of Columbia, TN and his son, Mason Lawing of Lynneville, TN. Matt is survived by his 3 Nephews Jacob Hope, Zachary Lawing, William Rickles, one niece Victoria Rickles, and 2 great nephews Everett Hope and Finn Hope. Matt was so proud of his children and loved them with all of his heart. His niece and nephews were very special to him along with many other family members. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Faith Community Church, 305 N. Burnt Hickory Road Douglasville, GA 30134. Matt will be deeply missed by his family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in his memory be given to a charity that has been close to our family’s heart for the last 11 years.
