After a few years of enduring many health challenges, it is with great sorrow we announce that Michael Anthony Giuseffi born August 29, 1942 passed away on February 21, 2023 at 80 years old. He was born in Manhattan in New York City and lived in Westchester New York, Florida and most recently Georgia. He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Antoinette, as well as his first wife, Katherine Giuseffi.
He attended Xavier High School graduating in 1960 and Manhattan College and New York University. As a very adept salesman, he had several jobs managing and motivating sales teams as a Manager and Vice President. Since his retirement in 2010 he enjoyed traveling mostly here in the US and Europe … especially Italy where his grandparents emigrated from.
Michael loved his family, enjoyed reading, appreciated food of various cultures, golfing with friends, and was a prankster playing jokes on both friends and colleagues. An avid sports enthusiast, he loved and was very dedicated to his New York City (Yankees, Giants and Rangers) sport teams.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marie Christine Zoccolillo, his son, Michael James Giuseffi, his daughter, Dr. Jennifer Lynn Giuseffi, and numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends. He was extremely proud of the accomplishments of both Michael and Jennifer who have very successful and prestigious careers.
Michael was a loving, dedicated and supportive spouse, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Michael James (Nettie Giuseffi) and Jennifer Lynn (Jeffrey Merkel) blessed him with 5 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He adored his grandchildren Sean, Joanie, Derick and great granddaughter, Giana Giuseffi, and doted on his grandsons Carter and Dylan Merkel. They filled his life with overwhelming joy.
