Michael Shane Mcabee

April 15, 1971 — May 21, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Michael “Shane” McAbee, who succumbed to cancer on May 21, 2024. He was 53 years old.

Born on April 15, 1971 in Clearwater, Florida, Michael Shane McAbee was a remarkable individual whose strength and determination inspired everyone around him. His journey through illness was marked by grace, courage, and an unwavering spirit, reminding us all of the power of hope and love.

Michael Shane McAbee had a passion for music, especially gospel music, and he found joy in sharing these passions with family and friends. His infectious laughter and warm heart touched many lives, creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

He is survived by his sister, Christine Kellogg, his brothers Stephen McAbee and Joshua McAbee, who will hold his memory close. He is also survived by his nieces Jennifer Brooks, Katherine Kellogg, Victoria Kellogg and his nephews Matthew McAbee, Camden McAbee, Bailey McAbee and David Kellogg, Jr. He was loved by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and family members in Iowa, Florida, North Carolina, California and Georgia. His mother, Judith Ann McAbee, father, Arzee Harvey McAbee, and brother, Dean McAbee are united with him in heaven.

If so moved, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society of Georgia in honor of Michael Shane McAbee’s legacy and the fight against cancer.

Though he may no longer be with us, Michael Shane McAbee will always be remembered for his kindness, resilience, and the love he shared with all of us. Rest in peace, dear brother. You will be profoundly missed.
