Michelle Su Spangler

January 10, 1954 — September 1, 2021

Michelle Su Spangler (born Su Ming-Mien) of Acworth, Georgia peacefully passed away on September 1, 2021. She was born on January 10,1954 in Taipei, Taiwan and was the fourth of five children of the late Shi-Wo Su and Chien-Pai Su. She was also preceded in death by her eldest brother, Tom Su. Michelle earned her B.A. degree in English from Tunghai University in Taipei, Taiwan in 1976, and earned her M.S. degree in Computer Science from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M) in 1980. She was an IT System Analyst for Texas Instruments, Frito-Lay, the City of Huntsville, and ended her career with the IRS. She always loved being an active member of her church and church groups, Huntsville Chinese Christian Church, Atlanta Chinese Christian Church, and BSF bible study group. Michelle was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother (popo), sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband Steve Spangler; three daughters, Stephanie Spangler, Jaye Marie Spangler Girardot, and Anna Spangler; and three grandchildren Abby and Penny Rader, and Benicio Girardot; her brothers Paul and Dean Su; her sister, Jean Su; and her nieces and nephews Sherry, William, David, Daniel, Peter, Esther, James, George, Mathew, Andrew, Rachel, Lois, Seth, and Sam. Her steadfast Faith in God gave her insurmountable strength, courage, and persistence. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be peacefully laid to rest at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers, Georgia in a private family ceremony in November. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalms 28:7
