Minor Lee Roy Smith Jr.

Minor Lee Roy Smith JR of Acworth, GA went to Heaven on July 28th, 2023 at 7:53pm.

Lee Roy was born in Melbourne, Florida and was the son of the late Minor Lee Roy Smith Sr and Christine Ailene Smith

Lee Roy was also proceeded in death by his sisters, Judy Raulerson, Susan Conn, and Betty Lee

Lee Roy was a hard worker. He was great at jobs he did such as stucco, roofing, cabinetry, and he was an all-around handy man.

Lee Roy loved to fish every chance he got; the lake was his happy place. He also enjoyed bowling.

Lee Roy was a loving husband, great dad, and proud Pawpaw. He loved his family with every ounce of his being. Lee Roy put up a brave fight up until the end.

Lee Roy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cathleen Wix Smith, his daughter Samantha Smith (Bobby), His Son Christopher Smith (Josie), His Son Minor Lee Roy Smith III (Summer),his daughter Hannah Smith (Nick), his granddaughter Gwendalyn Smith, his grandson Adam Porter, his cat Tom, his sisters Martha, Mary, and Brenda and his brothers Richard and Roy Daniel. He had many nieces and nephews. In addition to his biological family, he also had many children by choice who refer to him as Dad or Handy Pops, Samantha Perrine, James Hawkins, Susan Marsingale, John Lawrence, Eric Foust, and Natalie Benoré just to name a few.

Services will be held on August 12th, 2023 at 2pm at New Hope Baptist Church 3814 New Hope Church Rd Acworth, Ga 30102 by Pastor Dewberry as the officiant.
