Nellie Jeweldeene Johnson

Nellie J. Johnson, of the Lindale community, known as "MawMaw" to everyone, passed away on December 14, 2023. She was born on March 12, 1945 to the late Howard & Ruth Swann.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Elizabeth, Bonnie, Mary-Ann; brothers, Junior, Tom & Ladell.

She leaves behind her 8 children, John Potts, Karen (Robbie) Potts, Brenda (Tony) Duke, Angela Potts, Hank (Stephanie) Potts, Marcie Huether, Sandra (Carl) Johnson, Carland (Jennifer) Johnson; grandchildren, Mary (Jesse) Potts, Justin (Breanna) Potts, Doug (Jessica) Roderick, Breanna (Preston) Johnston, Clayton Potts, Jonathan Potts, Cody Osbourne, Drew Osbourne, Eli (Zoey) Johnson; many great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; three step-children, Big Hank, Pam & Dale.

Her wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held on her next birthday, March 12, 2024, which we all celebrated every year with our family. Our family would like to thank Traditions Hospice for all of their care and love shown to MawMaw. Also, a special thanks to Kelly Craig for being there everyday to take care of her just like family. We really appreciate everything you all did.
