Patricia Christine Given

Patricia Christine (Palko) (Dimino) Given, 90, of Kennesaw, Ga., passed away on August 24, 2023 after a brief illness. Patricia was born March 26, 1933 to Frank and Pauline (Harcharick) Palko in Toledo, Ohio.

Patricia met and married bassist Alphonse Dimino in Illinois in 1952, after which the couple relocated to Rochester, NY into a large and welcoming Italian family.

Patricia and Al had three children: Karen, Frank, and Jeneane Dimino. In 1969, Patricia lost her husband to pancreatic cancer, and in 1976 she married Brian Spencer Given with whom she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. In recent years she was a resident of Canterfield of Kennesaw Assisted Living.

Patricia was known for her elegance and style. She enjoyed traveling internationally, including visits to Australia, Mexico City, London, and Paris.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, two husbands, son-in-law Byron Stockton, and sisters-in-law Grace (Dimino) Beato, Virginia (Dimino) Trabold, and Penny (Dimino) Rose. While these were her sisters-in-law, Patricia considered them her sisters for 70 years.

She is survived by her 3 children: Karen Stockton, Frank (Linda) Dimino and Jeneane (George) Sessum, step-daughter Christine (Edward) Laureano, sister-in-law Sr. Marian Dimino SSJ, 7 grandchildren: Nickolaus Andrus; Russell (Amanda) Dimino; Valerie Dimino (Richard Marsland); Joshua (Jaclyn) Dimino; Victoria Laureano; Jenna Sessum; and Collin Laureano, 5 great grandchildren (Dominic Dimino, Cora Dimino, Landon Dimino, Eden Dimino, and Kitt Andrus), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Patricia to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd., Rochester, NY; Trillium Health, 259 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY; or the Pancreatic Cancer Network (pancan.org).
