Patricia Jackson Warnock

December 10, 1944 — July 4, 2024

Patricia Jackson Warnock, 79, of Canton, GA, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on July 4th, 2024 after prolonged illness. She passed peacefully with her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephew by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents James Price Jackson and Clessie Ozella Jackson of Lithia Springs, GA, as well as her older brother Donovan Jackson, of Marietta, GA.

Patricia grew up in Lithia Springs, GA, and graduated from South Cobb High School in 1962. She attended Young Harris College where she met her husband, Clay, the love of her life, then proceeded to graduate from Georgia State University with a music degree. She married Clay in 1967. She was an incredibly talented pianist who enjoyed teaching students and playing for her church, as well as for her family. She loved southern gospel music and attended many gospel music conventions with her husband. She served as Activity Director at Atherton Place Senior living and loved being able to use her talents to bring a smile or a laugh to the residents that she dearly loved. After retirement, she so enjoyed her flowers, watching the birds and hummingbirds in her backyard, and especially loved traveling to the mountains. But nothing was more special to her as time with her family and her grandchildren, who fondly knew her as Mimi. She was an active church member her entire life and loved her Lord and Saviour. Everyone who knew her understood that she not only talked the talk, but she walked the walk.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Clay Warnock, of Wadley, Georgia, her children Heather (Aaron)Brock of Saint Simons Island, Ben (Krista)Warnock of Cartersville, Hannah (Kevin)Weisman of Douglasville, and Melissa (Mike) Mcduffie of Austell. She was so proud of her grandchildren Presley, Will, Ella, Eli, Britain, Parker, Kasen and Kole. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were also dear to her heart, as well as many beloved friends.

A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, July 13th at 11am at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville, GA. Visitation will be held at 10am prior to the service. Patricia loved flowers, and the family requests that anyone wishing to send will kindly have them delivered prior to 12pm on Friday July 12th to the church. Donations may also be made to Bread of Life at Tarbernacle Baptist Church, an organization to feed the hungry where Patricia and Clay volunteered, and was dear to their hearts.

Her family will miss her beyond what words can express, but we rejoice that her earthly suffering is over and know we will be with her again one day.
