Paul Matthew Firnschild

Paul Matthew Firnschild, born 3/24/1962, died peacefully in his home in Atlanta, Georgia on 10/24/2021. He was the 4th child and only boy born to Dr. Paul Firnschild and Janet Karr of Allen Park, Michigan. The family moved to Asheville in 1973 where Paul attended Asheville High School then AB Tech where he excelled and received his tool and die credential which set him on a path to his own business consulting and maintaining precision medical research laboratory instruments in Atlanta. His education culminated in a Master of Business Administration and Economics from University of North Carolina at Asheville. Paul Matthew lived and worked in Atlanta for his own company, QA Support Services, as a microtome technician and medical laboratory designer. He was an avid mountain biker, motocross racer, toolmaker, inventor and animal lover. He joins his beloved pit bulls Eli and Blue, his parents and stepfather in heaven. Paul was a valued Brother, Uncle and friend who was fiercely loyal to all those he loved both animal and human and will be greatly missed by many.  He is survived by his sisters, Martha Firnschild, Elizabeth Firnschild and Gretchen Sellers, his nephews Christopher and Patrick Lowery and grand nephew Thomas Edward Lowery, nieces Margaret and Charlotte Sellers, grand niece Macy Webb and stepmother, Adeline Firnschild. A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, October 31st at 2:00PM at Constitution Lakes Park located at 1305 South River Industrial Blvd SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30315. Follow the signs from the gravel parking lot. There will be an approximately 8 minute walk to the gathering area. The family invites you to join them immediately following the service at Six Feet Under, 437 Memorial Drive SE, Atlanta, GA 30312, for a dutch treat reception on the patio.
