Paul Rickey Barton

Mr. Paul Ricky Barton, 69, of Rome, passed away early Tuesday morning on 3/26/24. He passed away peacefully at his home after a tough battle with cancer.

Ricky was the son of the late Paul Barton and Mary (Beck) Hall and stepson of his loving stepfather, the late Devon Hall.

Besides his parents, he is proceeded in death by his grandmother, the late Millie Beck Maney, various departed great aunts and uncles, Barbara Ely, Daniel Beck, Edna Knowles, Pastor David Beck, two late wives,

Debra Elaine Dover, Theresa Lindsey, and many friends.

Survivors include three sons, David Barton (Kim Griffin), Tony Barton, and Gary Barton, and one daughter, Jessica Thomson (Josh Thomson), all of Rome. Previous wives, Watha Barton, Donna Barton, and Dena Shelnut, have 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and are expecting a fourth great-grandchild. Also, they left behind many great family and friends.

He was a master carpenter and mechanic and a jack of all trades.

There weren't too many things that he didn't know how to do. He loved being outside, playing the guitar, singing, cooking, and spending time with his family.

His wishes were to be cremated. No funeral services or arrangements will be made at this time. A private gathering may be announced at a later time.
