Peggy Jo James Pearson, age 83 of Kennesaw GA, passed away quietly in Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain, in Marietta, GA on December 24, 2019. Mrs. Pearson was born May 11, 1936, in Harris City, GA and was the daughter of the late Laura (Temple) and Charles Brady James, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Roosevelt Pearson, Sr, and sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Willingham and Laura Deese and son-in-law William (Ted) Jenkins, Jr. She was a graduate of Greenville High School, Greenville Ga. and attended Massey Business College earning a diploma in clerical studies which included typing, stenography, and bookkeeping. Peggy was very active in the lives of her children and grandchildren, She loved attending softball, baseball and football games, piano recitals, and scouting events of her children and later her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to Whitewater, Six Flags, parades, picnics, Family Reunions and shopping, in other words, all things relating to the family. We will miss her tremendously and we will always remember the life lessons that she taught us by instruction and by example. She was very grounded in her beliefs and vocal with her faith. She was independent, determined, strong-willed, straight forward and steadfast. She leaves a great void in our immediate family and our extended family and shoes that will never be refilled. She is survived by three children Joanna (Pearson) Jenkins, Cecil R. Pearson, Jr. and wife, Pam, Jack T. Pearson, and wife Jeri, Ten Grandchildren, William (Tad) Jenkins, III, Tobin (Tobi) Jenkins, Joanna E. (JoBeth) Ray, and Joseph (Jody) Jenkins, Danielle Davis, Devin Pearson, Jack Pearson, Jr, Jacob Pearson, Dylan Pearson, and Darren Pearson, Eleven Great Grandchildren, Avery, Tristan, Jonah, and Norah Jenkins, Donovan and Sheridan Ray, Thatcher, Hadley, and Harrison Davis and Taylor and Shay Pearson; brother, Charles Brady James, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy James (Bill) Wiley, Barbara James Glazier, and Nancy James (Michael Brown) Bell, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
