Philip Carl Whitaker

Philip Carl Whitaker, age 77 of Acworth, GA passed away Nov. 25, 2020. He was born on Jan. 12, 1943, in Salem, MO, and was the son of Harold Carl Whitaker and Virginia Ione Jacobs. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, and 2 grandchildren. He leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, JoAnn (Foerster) Whitaker, and 4 children, Traci Lynn Nichols of Potosi, MO; Matthew James Keil of Acworth, GA; Deana Lee Whitaker of Jennings, LA; Jamie Kathleen East of Potosi, MO; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a proud military veteran, serving 6 years in the U.S. Army. Philip had a deep love for his family, his friends, and his country. He had the gift of gab and never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
