Rachel Virginia Bruner

On Sunday, January 10th, 2021, Rachel Virginia Bruner, beloved daughter and sister, was delivered from our arms to the Lord’s. Rachel was born December 13th, 1996 to Terra Brown McDaniel. She attended Cass High School, where she excelled in studies, but more importantly was a treasured member of her community and a dear friend to so many. She continued her education through self-teaching and through her own unquenchable curiosity. Rachel was a passionate artist. The world, to her, was a canvas or sketch pad. Whether through her brilliant photography and drawings, her culinary skill, or simply her hair, her nails and make-up, Rachel dedicated much of herself to creating and sharing beauty with us all. In all her creativity, she was also an accomplished mechanic, capable and knowledgeable. She never shied away from the opportunity to fix something. Even in death, she was able to fix the lives of others through her generous donations of her organs, without which recipients would, too, have perished. Our beloved Rachel was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Samuel Mayfield, who served our Navy in WWII, by her great-grandfather, Lieutenant Colonel William “Bill” Brown of the Air Force, by her great-grandmother and namesake, Virginia Mayfield, and by her maternal grandfather, Wesley Eugene Brown, a Green Beret who served our Army in the Vietnam War. She is survived by her father and mother, Eric and Terra Brown McDaniel, by her grandparents, Michael and Rhonda Arnwine, by her brother and sister, Jacob Bruner and Natalie Hebert, and by cousins, aunts, and uncles who treasured their time with her. Family and friends will honor and mourn her passing on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in White, GA, where she was baptized. Leaf Cremation is handling arrangements.
