Richard Brent Smith

Mr. Richard Brent Smith, age 48, of Clayton, Georgia, Rabun County, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 unexpectedly. Richard was born a twin December 8, 1970 in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Conneautlake Highschool in 1988. He worked in construction most of his life and was an epitome servant of God. Richard was preceded in death by 4 siblings Sarah Jane Ann Singer, of Clayton, Marjorie Montalvo, Joseph Montalvo and Roy Alan Montalvo all of Erie PA. 1 granddaughter Hazel Hunter. Richard is survived by his mother Mary Singer of Clayton, Son Dontae Fahey, of PA 10 sibling Janice Brown (Patrick) of Athens, Pablo (Tony) Montalvo of Rabun, James Montalvo (Melissa) of Athens, William Smith (Laurie) of Jamestown, NY, Joe Smith (Michelle) of Erie, Margalena Remington (John) of Columbus, Emma Singer of Seneca, Kathryn Singer, of Clayton, Linda Ramey (Johnny) of Clayton, Theresa Stevenson of Habersham. 1 grandchild Lily Hunter. And many many nieces and nephews. Richard loved life and his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was always the life of the party. He will be greatly missed. A celebration of Richard life will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2pm at Clayton Church of God.
