Robert "Bob" Ernest Meyer, 64, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Bob was born on August 8, 1956 in Mt. Kisco, New York and was the son of the late Herbert and Erna Meyer of Carmel, New York. Bob earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, Class of 1979. Architecture, interior design and construction project management were his passions. His 40+ year career took him around the world building and designing beautiful structures, hotels, and interiors as well as meeting many talented and creative people along the way that he truly admired and respected. Bob's professional experience included positions at Hirsch/Bedner & Associates, Smallwood, Reynolds, et al, Turner Broadcasting System, Culpepper, McAuliffe and Meaders, Miller Zell Environments, The Camberley Hotel Company and finally The Meyer Group. Bob was a loyal Syracuse Orangemen fan and enjoyed cheering on their basketball team led by Coach Jim Boeheim. Lover of music, art, fast race cars, a good intellectual debate, making you laugh with his wry wit and smile and ending the day watching the news or Antiques Roadshow with a cold beer or a glass of bourbon. Bob is survived by his wife of 23 years, Theresa ("Terry") Meyer, his beloved daughter, Maria Nicole, as well as his daughter, Lauren Meyer Bock of Boston, MA and son, Stephen Meyer of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by his loving sister, Dolores Trinkle and her husband, Terry, along with his nephews, Matthew and Mark Trinkle. Bob dearly loved his Golden Retrievers who have passed over the rainbow bridge, Malone and Tucker. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donating to the family's GoFundMe page or a direct Venmo contribution to @Terry-Meyer-7 in order to pay for Bob's medical bills and other expenses incurred during his long illness. The family would like to express their deep appreciation and gratitude for the love and support of family, friends and generous strangers who have helped in so many ways, known and unknown.
