Robin Lynn Tennant

August 17, 1961 — November 26, 2021

Robin Bryson Tennant of Newnan, Ga. passed away November 26th, around 7:20 pm. She passed peacefully in her house with her family nearby. She was born in Sedalia Missouri, at Bothwell Regional Hospital in 1961. She graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1979. After some time in Kansas, she eventually moved to Peachtree City, Ga. in 2002. Those that knew Robin would describe her as fun, loving, and adventurous. She loved the lake, going to concerts (especially Allen Jackson), cruises, dancing, buying gifts for people, and hanging with her family and friends. Her heart to serve others was huge. She had served with organizations like I-58 ministry, The Gathering, Peachtree City Youth council, Boy Scouts, and more. She was also the recipient of the Fayette County Volunteer of the year award and multiple performance awards in her career at Matthews International. Her motto in life was simple, "Love God and love people." That's how she lived her life. She never met a stranger and believed the best in people. She was quick to forgive and even quicker to invite you into her life. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Bryson of Sedalia Mo. She is survived by her mother Elda Bryson of Sedalia Mo.; her sisters Rita Bryson-Lawson, and Rhonda Bryson; her husband Dan Tennant of Newnan Ga.; her son Shelby Barker, daughter-in-law Emily Barker, grandchildren Ellise, Willow, Story, and Dodge; her step-sons Justin Barker, Jackson Tennant, Ben Tennant and his wife Mayara Tennant. Friends and family were able to spend the last several weeks with Robin laughing together, crying together, sharing memories, hopes, fears, and most importantly love. Robin had a strong faith and was not afraid of what was to come in the next life. It was that type of faith that led her to a life of love. A life that lit up the room whenever she walked in. A type of love that thought of others first and brought laughter and joy wherever she went. The family is grieving the loss of Robin. We know that there is, "...a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;" Today we begin to process all of those different emotions. She will be missed, but we take heart knowing that today... somewhere off in the distance, she is dancing. Memorial service will be held at One Church 2130 Redwine Rd, Fayetteville, GA 30215 or streamed online via Facebook at 2pm (EST) Saturday Dec. 11th. All are invited. In lieu of flowers, we are asking family and friends that feel led to donate to The I-58 Mission. This ministry does great work in our community and had a special place in Robin's heart. Address: 2450 GA-85, Senoia, GA 30276. Website: https://thei58mission.org/online-giving/ With love, The family https://www.facebook.com/events/394821325724387
