James Ronald (Ron) Jackson, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born in 1951, he had a long history of varied careers from construction to modeling to sales. Known to be able to sell ice to Eskimos, Ron could custom tailor your suit, stock your freezer, and find the perfect aftermarket accessories for your Harley-Davidson.
He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and logged more than 400K miles seeing the width and breadth of the most beautiful parts of this country along with his “Friends of Bill W” with whom he shared 26 years of sobriety. Ron was a die-hard Allman Brothers fan and lover of many genres of music. He was also known for his green thumb and the ability for plants to bloom and thrive in his presence.
Ron is survived by two sons and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. He also leaves the love and friendship of many who were blessed to be loved by him. He will be greatly missed and thought of often with great fondness. A truer friend could not be found.
A memorial will be held sometime in the spring. For more information contact Leaf Cremation at 678-398-9266.
