Sarah Pink Lowery

Sarah Pink Lowery, 86, of Newnan passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. Sarah was born on May 1, 1934 in Auburn, AL to the late Mammie Bennett Dowdell and Papa Griffin. She graduated high school in Auburn, Alabama and went on to the STC-TEC Carter (BOCES) Business Administration, New York State, and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, New York State. Mrs. Lowery worked the UP Program with Universal Protection for Nursing Homes, New York State Department Certified Skilled Nursing Assistant & Home Health Aide and Certified Medical Terminology. She retired from Western Electric. Sarah was baptized on September 23, 1950 and served as a Jehovah’s Witness for 70 years. She was a full time Pioneer in the ministry. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters and 4 brothers and is survived by her husband, Ike Lowery; son, Preston Tony Griffin; grandson, Terry Griffin; brother, Milton Bennett (Mary), (Brother-in-law Wayne Carson (sister deceased Martha Carson) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. We are eternally grateful to each of you for your expressions of love, phone calls, flowers, cards and prayers. We may not speak to each of you personally, but we know you cared. We are praying for Jehovah’s comfort for all. Our sincerest thanks. The Zoom Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
