Scott Allen Herr

On November 2, 2023, Scott Allen Herr passed away at his home in Marietta Georgia at the age of 51. He is the son of John Emmert Herr and Brenda Kay (Ebersole) Herr of Dallas, Georgia. Born in Lancaster PA, Scott graduated from Naperville Central High School in Illinois. Scott served in the US Army as a sergeant and during operation Iraqi Freedom in the 4th infantry Division as a construction diesel repair mechanic. He attended Business school in Allentown Pennsylvania going on to become a freelance graphic artist where he created web sites, company logos and training illustrations.

Scott had a creative mind and spirit and loved to work with his hands. He painted, built and played guitars, designed T-shirts, crafter leather goods, practiced welding in industry and was known for taking things apart to see how they worked. His home was filled with his artistic creations.

Scott is survived by his wife Amanda (Brooker) Herr son Jarrett Owen Herr of Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, his daughter Amanda Riley Herr of Nevada City, California.

Scott is also survived three sisters; Chrissy Gallagher of Bartlett Illinois, Jody Hernandez of Plainfield Illinois and Lora Ramos of Roswell Georgia.

A private celebration of life will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
