Sharon Sue Palmer

Sharon "Sue" Palmer passed away at her home on April 23rd, 2022 after a brief illness. Sharon grew up in Glen Carbon, IL, the daughter of Laurel "Cat" Palmer and Patricia Lea Palmer (Burgess) who preceded her in death. She is survived by three brothers, Daniel Palmer of Glen Carbon IL. Bill and Larry Palmer of Madison, IL. and two sisters, Shirley Lilley of Washington State, and Sheila Palmer of Phoenix, AZ. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael, of Glen Carbon. Sharon was a long time resident of South Florida, and moved to Macon, Georgia in the 1990's where she worked as a registered nurse for many years until she retired. She loved animals, and volunteered for many years with the Heart of Georgia Humane Society. She rescued and fostered many animals over the years and helped them find their furever homes, which brought her great joy. Sharon wished to be cremated, and a private ceremony will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to the Heart of Georgia Humane Society, Inc.
