Steven Ernest Romero

Steven Ernest Romero, 50, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on January 20, 2021. Steven was born on November 11, 1970 to the late Ernest Romero and Martha (Sandy) Romero. He was raised in Garden Grove, California and later in life re-located to Cartersville, Georgia. Steven spent most of his days binge watching old television shows, caring for his dog, Daisy, and going to the movies. Although he lived a quiet life, he loved attending live concerts to see his favorite bands. The louder the music, the better. Steven enjoyed comedy shows and live stand-ups. His laughter was so contagious. In addition, Steven loved trying new foods and restaurants. He would never turn down a spicy meal no matter how hot it was. He lived a full life filled with much love and laughter. He had a big heart and cared a lot for his family. He was supportive in ways that made many things possible that otherwise would not be. He will truly be missed by many. Survivors include sisters, Tammy (Ronald Sr.) Lathrop, Pamela Fitzgerald, and Shannon Romero; nieces and nephews, Ronald Lathrop Jr. (Sonia), Crystal Lathrop Mullen (Aaron), Vanessa Romero, Justin Fitzgerald (Kayla-Anne ), Chadwick Fitzgerald, and Stephanie Jackson; great nieces and nephews, Samantha, Isaac, and Isaiah Lathrop, and Emma Joy, Lennon, and Eleanor Mullen. Additionally, he is survived by maternal/paternal aunts and uncles as well as cousins and his dog Daisy. He is preceded in death by, sister, Renee Romero; grandparents, Angie (Felix) Garcia and Cora (Lino) Castro; and nephew, Michael Ernest Fitzgerald. Due to COVID-19, there will not be a formal service at this time. The family will hold a private celebration of life.
