Taeko Rorls, 87 passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022 at home in Dallas, GA. She was born June 17, 1935, in Nagasaki Japan. Taeko met and married Bobby D Rorls, Sr. on October 31, 1958, in Japan while he was serving in the United States Air Force. She traveled with her husband to different states and countries before settling in Hampton, VA. After her husband’s death she moved to Grand Prairie TX to be closer to her children. After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2013, Taeko moved closer to be with her daughter in GA.
Taeko was an active member of Soka Gakkai. Chanting “Nam-myoho-renge-kyo” gave her life, gratitude, and guidance to cope with everyday challenges. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and loved karaoke. Taeko was a strong, kind, giving, and nurturing woman who always put others first. She will be missed by her family and friends. Taeko is preceded in death by her late husband Bobby D Rorls, Sr., her first born son Bobby D Rorls, Jr., her father Kaneko Tatsuo, her mother Kaneko Chiyoki and eight siblings.
Taeko is survived by one daughter Emiko Burton, three sons, Stanley Rorls (Martha), Joseph Rorls (Esther) and James Rorls (Alicia), sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Taeko will be cremated at Leaf Cremation in Acworth GA and later buried with her husband Bobby D. Rorls, Sr. at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens, Hampton, VA.
