Thomas James Bullock, Sr.

Thomas James Bullock, Sr., affectionately known as Tom, 74, of Cartersville, GA passed away at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center on Friday, August 11, 2023. Tom was born on January 8, 1949 in New Orleans, LA to the late William Thomas Bullock, Jr. and Virgie Louise Guidry.

Tom is a graduate of Decatur High School and attended Kennesaw State University. Tom worked for Thompson Weinman for 20 years and Shaw Industries for 31 years. Tom loved to saltwater fish at his favorite vacation destination, St. George Island. He also loved to watch his grandkids play sports. He tried to attend every sporting event and activity they were in just like he did with his own four children.

Thomas James Bullock, Sr. will be greatly missed by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Martin Bullock. He is also survived by his son, Neal Patrick Bullock; daughter, Steffanie Bullock Holstein (Al); sons, Thomas James Bullock, Jr. (Rebecca), Brian David Bullock (Katy).

Popa, as he is lovingly called by his grandchildren, is also survived by his grandchildren, Donovan Bullock, Trey and Andy Holstein, Cici and James Bullock and Will and Hunter Bullock.

He is survived by his brother, Daryle John Bullock (Kathy) of Tyler, TX and nephews, Brad and Drew Bullock and niece Kendall Bullock.

Lastly, Tom leaves behind his beloved cat, Joey Freddy.

A memorial mass for Thomas James Bullock, Sr. will be held at 4 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 850 Douthit Ferry Road, Cartersville, GA 30120. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will occur at a later date.
