Vivian Ann Sheppard

Heaven welcomed Vivian Ann Tomlinson Sheppard (87) on January 14, 2025. Born May 5, 1937, Vivian grew up in Dublin, Georgia where she met her husband Enman J. Sheppard, Jr. (d.2013). She was a devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also an LPN and consummate homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, and entertaining friends and family. In 2021, Vivian’s journey guided her to Ellijay, GA to be near her daughter Betsy Sheppard. 

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Essie Tomlinson; husband, Enman J. Sheppard, Jr.; and her two brothers, Stanley F. Tomlinson and Charles S. Tomlinson. Vivian is survived by her three daughters: Connie S. Queen of Wilmington, NC; Betsy L. Sheppard of Ellijay, GA; and Amy S. Arthur, of Dublin, GA and their spouses. Her surviving family also includes four adult grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews from her brothers’ families. 

Honoring her wishes, the family will hold a private interment in Dublin, GA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her memory to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, GA 30143.
