William Joseph Medicus Jr.

On Tuesday, January 5, 2021, William Joseph Medicus Jr. passed away at the age of 64. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 24, 1956, he was the first born child of the late William Joseph Medicus Sr. and Abbie Margaret Medicus. William graduated from Wheeler High School in 1974. Shortly after, in 1975, William joined the Air force and lived in North Dakota. Two years later, he returned to civilian life. William did some traveling from Georgia to Las Vegas & Huntington Beach, California where he danced and was a volleyball player. Not only did William enjoy volleyball and dancing, he also had a passion for cooking, softball, and bowling. He was also an avid dog lover and enjoyed taking his dogs for scheduled walks on a daily basis in a park near his home. William is predeceased by his father William Joseph Medicus Sr. and mother Abbie Margaret Medicus. He leaves behind his daughter Brianna Blackwell & her husband Dean Blackwell, granddaughter Naomi Blackwell, grandson Jordan Blackwell, brother John Medicus, sister-in-law Janet Medicus, nieces Sarah and Abbie Medicus, sister Karen Medicus, several cousins, and many friends. All services will be taking place at the Leaf Cremation in Acworth, Ga. on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 2-4pm.
